The creative process

The team
The idea
The first step in making my game consisted of something simple yet vital. It was the basic idea of what my game would be about, the task seemed simple but turned out to be something that took a lot of thought and imagination. While the possible topics were endless I had to find something that would not only captivate me, but also anyone one decided to play my game. I finally decided to go with Immunology but more specifically immunotherapy as the main topic of my game, while immunology is relatively new, its applications are very promising.

Free time gaming

During my free time I do occasionally play games. After finishing the mini game project I have more respect for programmers and game designers because I mistakenly believed that designing a game was easy, but I have learned that there is alot of planning and coding involved.

My favorite games:

1. Bioshock
2. Bioshock 2
3. Assassins Creed

4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

5. Left 4 Dead 2

Game Genre Research

In designing my game I can pick a genre and use that to help me work out the basics of my game. The two genres im interested in are shooter and action-adventure. The shooter that I find the most inspiring would be bioshock. In the action adventure genre assassins creed another game from which I draw inspiration. Out of the two games bioshock pushed the boundries more with its original ideas and use of gamer input determining the ending of the game. This is something I would like to try and achieve even with my simple flash game.

So far as part of Globaloria I have learned how to embed multimedia into blogs and wikis. I have also learned about the risks of blogging and other social internet activities and learned ways to help prevent identity theft.

privacy

The internet a place where people can share ideas, connect with people across the world, and uncover vast amounts of information, but all of this comes at a price. One the internet people often share information that would other wise be limited to people the meet and know, while to most people this is just unimportant information, but to a person with mischievous plans information such as name, birth date, and current residence can be used to steal identity and then used for application of credit cards and loans. Then they use these funds with no regards to the person whose identity they stole. Over time debt builds and the person whose identity was stolen is left to pay for any and all loans and bills. There are many was to protect yourself .

First day of game design

In game design I hope to learn basic coding which I will be able to use in simple game.
